Blyde Canyon

Mpumalanga, South Africa is the home of the Blyde River Canyon.  This canyon is the third largest canyon on Earth.  With it's magical scenery and rich wild and bird life.

Create a memorable experience with a boat trip on the Blyde dam, while enjoying crocodile and hippo in their natural habitat. A tour guide will take you to the Kadishi Tufa waterfall and the Three Rondawels. The Kadishi Tufa waterfall is 200 m (around 660 feet) in height and are the second tallest tufa waterfall on earth. It is also known as "the weeping face of nature", due to striking resemblance of a crying face. While enjoying the abundance of wildlife, you will also learn more about the natural history of the Blyde Canyon. The dam and surrounds is home to a range of wildlife species which also includes Fish Eagles and the African Finfoot, which you may be lucky enough to spot.
